Watch the trailer
This timely and emotionally powerful documentary examines how some of the most fragile members of our society – refugee children – can learn to face highly traumatic pasts by harnessing the power of drama. CAST FROM THE STORM provides a raw and intimate insight into a turbulent and deeply moving journey from refugee to the Australian stage. As the curtains are raised, silence descends. For some students, this will be the performance of their lives.

How we’re working with CAST FROM THE STORM | The television version screened as part of the ABC’s ‘Mental As’ week in October 2015. Screen Impact plans to take on the theatrical and digital rights for this beautiful documentary, creating an outreach campaign and release strategy that will contribute to a generational shift in attitudes towards asylum seekers and refugees, raise the profile of young refugees and inspire new advocates.
